The 10 Hottest Baseball Sideline Reporters

#10 Nicole Zaloumis

This FSN reporter took maternity leave mid-2009.  However, news recently broke that she may be leaving the network, which would be a huge blow to the Northwest and our hot reporter population.

#9 Hazel Mae

Once the lead anchor for NESN, Hazel Mae was so popular among New Englanders that she was nominated to become the first president of Red Sox Nation.

However, now she has moved on to bigger and better things, where she is now the face of the MLB Network.

Also she apparently has the power to shock people with her cleavage.

#8 Tina Cervasio

Also a vet of the NESN sports network, Cervasio was the Red Sox sideline reporter all the way up until 2008 when she moved on to work at Madison Square Garden of all places as a studio host.

Say what you want about the Red Sox, but they had some hotties covering them.

#7 Alex Flanagan

Now mostly a football gal for the NFL Network and NBC Sports, Flanagan cut her teeth reporting for FSN and Baseball Tonight with ESPN.

#6 Julie Donaldson

A former beauty queen from Florida, Donaldson migrated north where she hosted Mets Weekly in 2006 before moving on as the beat reporter for (who else) the Boston Red Sox.

Sadly, she moved on from the sporting world in 2008 after being assaulted by her boyfriend, a (get this) professional Slamball player.

#5 Charissa Thompson

Not to be confused with a different blond model named Charissa Thompson, this one is much classier but still incredibly hot in her own right.

Thompson has moved onto colder pastures, working as an on-ice reporter for the NHL on Versus, but just a few years ago she was covering baseball for FSN on such programs as The 2007 MLB All-Star Game Red Carpet Parade and The Baseball Report.

#4 Maria Sansone

Tough call to put her at No. 4, but I couldn’t let Sansone land in the top three if for the only reason that she doesn’t cover baseball anymore, but she is definitely smoking hot.She got started early, and by early I mean she was covering the Little League World Series when she was freaking 12 years old. We knew she was going to be good; we just didn’t know she was going to be this hot.

Later on she would contribute to NESN covering the Sox, like every other hot reporter, then went on to become a fantasy sports babe for Yahoo! for a little while.

Now she is out of sports entirely, but we’re hopeful she’ll be back soon. I miss her.

#3 Heidi Watney

Current Red Sox field reporter Heidi Watney is quickly becoming one of the most popular on-field reporters in baseball. It’s starting to become Erin Andrews-esque.

In fact, her supporters have pointed out the fact that even Andrews has admired Watney’s nice behind before.

She may not be at Andrews’ stature yet, but it’s only a matter of time before ESPN snatches her away from NESN as the world gets a new reporter to obsess over.

#2 Erin Andrews

What can I say about Erin Andrews that I haven’t said 384 times already? She’s hot, she’s the ultimate girl-next-door, and she’s good at what she does.

Even when she gets nailed by a foul ball, like last summer, she continues to get back out there and make us care about regular season baseball and the College World Series like nobody else out there can.  Plus we’ve all seen her naked, which is pretty nice as well.

#1 Kristen Berset

Another Florida beauty queen (Miss Florida USA in 2004), Berset moved up to Baltimore where she has grown into her niche of a sports reporter.

Now an anchor, Berset gained the love of many a baseball fan when she covered the Orioles, becoming the first thing to make them must-see since Brady Anderson started taking steroids.

With the Baseball season getting started down in Florida and Arizona we wanted to bring you a list of the hottest sideline reporters from around the MLB.  We know that come August when your team is already 20 games out of 1st place it takes a little more to get you out of bed in the morning.  Maybe this can help…..

Ron Darling Owes The IRS Quite A Bit Of Money

darling
In these times it would be understandable if the average American got behind with the tax money they owed to the IRS, but for someone who pitched 13 years in the majors and is a full-time analyst to owe over $500K is a different story. According to the Detroit News, Ron Darling owes the IRS approximately $544,197 in state and federal taxes….

Tax agencies in two states and the IRS have former New York Mets pitcher and TBS analyst Ron Darling caught in a squeeze play. Darling, who helped call the Yankees-Twins game Sunday, owes $544,197 in state and federal taxes, records show.

The 49-year-old Hawaii native earned $17.9 million during a 13-season career, according to Baseball-Reference.com. He won a World Series ring with the Mets in 1986.

What’s owed:

* The IRS filed a $71,076 lien against Darling on July 29 in the New York City Register’s office.
* The state of New York filed a $12,664 tax warrant against Darling on May 23 in the New York County Clerk’s office.
* The state of California filed an $84,860 lien against Darling on June 6, 2008, in Contra Costa County Court.
* The IRS filed a $375,597 lien against Darling on May 15, 2008, in the New York City Register’s office.

Well then.  A TBS spokesperson has left a message for Darling, and told the Detroit News that TBS, ” will not comment as this is a personal issue.”

What’s with the 86′ Mets going broke?  First Gary Carter is forced to sell all his shit and now Ron Darling owes the IRS over half a million dollars?  How is it that Strawberry and Doc are still out there making it rain and these guys are broke?  We all know Straw and Doc spent at least 50K a month on hookers and blow yet these guys still were able to keep enough cash around to live.  I just dont’ get it……

You Got Served

r_moss_i

It hasn’t been this good to be a Jets fan since 1969, when Joe Namath was guaranteeing Super Bowl victories and dominating New York City’s gigolo game.

Randy Moss, after getting completely shut down by the Jets’ cornerback Darrelle Revis on Sunday, had this to say after the game:

“All week, he’s talking about he’s a shutdown corner. There’s really no shutdown corners in the league because they have help for most of the game. I mean, I probably could play corner if I had (safety Brandon) Meriweather over the top for the whole game. I think I could be a shutdown corner.”

New linebacker and defensive captain Bart Scott responded in an interview on SNY:

“I hear the easy copout by Randy Moss, saying that anybody can guard … that I can play cornerback if I had safety help.  That was a one-on-one jump ball. I think sometimes you’ve just got to give the man his credit, understand that [Revis] was the better man that day.  That doesn’t take from the fact that Randy Moss is a great receiver in this league. But give the kid his due. Next time it’ll [be] another chance to go out and do it again so [Moss] can’t say the same thing.  [Revis] shut him down. He intimidated him. Randy was coming across that middle real slow. Tell him to man up next time and come across the middle like a man if he wants to be a complete receiver.”

That might be one of the greatest things I’ve ever heard, not only because Bart Scott gave Moss the proverbial bitch slap, but because its true.  Moss has been a little bitch ever since he came into this league, and it’s nice to see someone finally call him out on it.  Maybe you should just keep your mouth shut the next time you get embarrassed Randy.
