Going into last night Jim Zorn had maybe a 1% chance of keeping his job, well now you can take that 1% and throw it out the window because this guy is 100% losing his job. What really sealed Jim Zorn’s fate in my opinion was this play that was a complete fucking disaster. In case you missed it, the Redskins were down 24-0 as the first half was coming to an end. They lined up for a 38-yard field goal, only to fake it and send most of the team over to the left, leaving only the snapper, the holder and the kicker in the middle of the field. The Giants saw the formation and called a timeout to stop the play. So what did Zorn do? He called the same play again. The Giants sniffed it out and the play failed as Redskins holder Hunter Smith aimlessly threw the ball in the air. Ugly.
Giants Week 14 Preview: Eagles @ Giants

This sums it up quite nicely. Thank you for speaking on behalf of everyone from Philadelphia.
Philadelphia Eagle @ New York Giants
Giants Stadium: 8:20 pm Sunday December 13th
The last time the Eagles came to the Meadowlands, the Eagles ended the Giants run to consecutive Super Bowl championships. Well this is a new year and the Eagles have to chance to pretty much finish off the Giants once again as they meet in another huge game. The rival Eagles come into this game in a tie for 1st place in the NFC East with a record of 8-4. The Giants come off a big win against the Cowboys with a record of 7-5. The Giants have a chance to catch the Eagles in the division with a win this week. Let’s hope that the Romo December swoon will rear its ugly head and the G Men come out victorious. I hate the Eagles!!!!!!
Giants Offense vs. Eagles Defense
The Giants offense was solid against the Cowboys last week and will look to build on that against the always tough Eagles defense. Eli Manning will have to have one of his better games of the season and do everything in his power to not turnover the ball. The Giants must also run the ball. They need to get Jacobs and Bradshaw 40 carries combined in order to keep the high powered Eagles offense off the field. By running the ball the Giants can use the play action pass and try some shots down field to Hakeem Nicks, who is playing like a rookie of the year, Mario Manningham, and Steve Smith. Calling Smith’s 2009 season a breakthrough is an understatement. He is 2nd in the NFC in receiving yards with 979 and his 77 catches are 5 away from tying the all time Giants receptions for a season held by Armani Toomer who set it in the 2002 season. The Giants offense will have to contend with all world cornerback Asante Samuel, who had two interceptions last week and is always a threat to take it to the house. The Eagles defensive front 7 is very good, as usual, with Trent Cole putting pressure on the quarterback from the right end position. The Eagles are extremely good against the pass. Eli can attest to that after throwing 2 interceptions in the last game against the Eagles. If Jacobs can continue his play from last week and Eli can make a throw or two this could mean big things for the Giants. Unfortunately the Giants offense is too inconsistent to give them the nod.
EDGE: Eagles Defense
Eagles Offense vs. Giants Defense
The Eagles offense is scary point blank. They have weapons at every skill position. The wide outs are both young and dynamic, running back and fullback are asking Westbrook who?, the QB is playing like a pro bowler, and even the tight end can go out and catch the deep pass. Jeremy Maclin and DeSean Jackson have cornerbacks losing sleep. They are both extremely fast and can do the deep route like few in this league. Aaron Ross and Corey Webster need to be on their A game this week or the Giants could be down by a few touchdowns in the blink of an eye. LeSean McCoy and Leonard Weaver are both doing a superb job in the absence of Brian Westbrook, whose has been ruled out of this game with a concussion which has sidelined him for the last 2 weeks. Leonard Weaver is the one who has really stuck out. We is doing it all for the Eagles, running the ball effectively and making big plays out of the back field receiving. For the first time in Donovan McNabb’s career he finally has a multitude of weapons at his disposal and that is very scary. The Giants defense finally decided to show up last week in a big game and they will need to keep that going against an even more dangerous offense this week. Osi and Tuck put a lot of pressure on the quarterback which forces errant throws and turnovers. The Eagles do not like to run, just like the Cowboys last week. If the defense can get to McNabb and make him uncomfortable the Giants could have a chance. All in all I can’t go against an offense that has so many weapons.
EDGE: Eagles Offense
The Eagles and the Giants are always a big game, especially in December. The Giants need this one in order to get back in the division race and the Eagles need to win to stay on top of the East. This should be another great one!!! There is nothing better than Eagles Giants in the cold weather late in the season. Let’s hope the Giants are coming into their own and pull out another big win against a division rival.
Prediction: Eagles 38 Giants 31
Week 12 Preview: Giants @ Broncos

WTF....this guy has a comic book? What is his superpower being a mediocre quarterback?
New York Giants @ Denver Broncos
Venue: Invesco Field
Time and Date: 8:20 pm Thursday, November 26
TV Schedule: NFL Network
The New York Giants (6-4) go up against the Denver Broncos (6-4) in Denver on Thanksgiving night. Both teams started off on fire with the Giants winning their first 5 games and the Broncos winning their first 6. The Giants just broke a 4 game losing streak with their win over the Falcons last week and now the Broncos are in the midst of a 4 game losing streak. Both teams have followed a similar path this season and this game could make or break both teams’ seasons.
GIANTS OFFENSE
The Giants offense took a step in the right direction last game, especially Eli Manning who picked apart the Falcons defense for 384 yards. This was quite possibly Eli’s best game as a pro and it could not have happened at a better time to break the 4 game losing streak. Steve Smith, Mario Manningham, and Kevin Boss all had good games as Eli spread the ball around the field. The most important factor for the offense is no turnovers at critical times of the game. The running game was taken away last game making the offense one dimensional. This week against the Broncos could be the opposite of the Falcons game as the Broncos strength on defense is alleviating the passing game ranking in the top 3 in the league in yards allowed per game. By the looks of it Brandon Jacobs will play on Thursday and Jacobs, Ahmad Bradshaw, and even Danny Ware should get a lot of carries and have big days against a porous run defense of the Broncos.
GIANTS DEFENSE
Now as everyone can see the Giants defense is not what it was last season or even earlier on in the season. Having a 14 point lead midway through the 3rd quarter use to be a guaranteed Giants win, but as was seen last week, the Giants D could not hold the lead and almost blew the game. The defense needs to play better if the Giants have any chance of making a run to the playoffs. The one positive that came from the Falcons game was the return of Aaron Ross from a hamstring injury that went on for 10 weeks. Also they are no new injuries to the secondary and besides the absence of Kenny Phillips, who was placed on the IR after week 3; the Giants defense should be fully healthy for the first time all season. Antonio Pierce should return as well from a neck injury that kept him out last week. The defense needs stop a Broncos offense that will have Kyle Orton, Brandon Marshall, Knowshon Moreno, and Correll Buckhalter all healthy and motivated to end their losing streak.
BRONCOS OFFENSE
The aforementioned Broncos offense definitely is not short on talent at the most important positions. The Broncos have a beast at WR in Brandon Marshall who can dominate a game like few others in the league. Knowshon Moreno is a very dynamic rookie who is still trying to figure out the NFL. If these two players have big games there is very few teams that can beat them. The one thing is that both players are inconsistent and, as seen last week on the sidelines, were not very happy with each other as they got into a shoving match after Moreno fumble on the goal line late in the game. Like most offenses, the most important player is the quarterback and Kyle Orton looked like he was the perfect fit for this team early in the season. Interceptions and an ankle injury have brought Orton and the Broncos back down to earth. If Orton can get his swagger back the Broncos could be in for a big night.
BRONCOS DEFENSE
After the first 6 weeks of the season the best defense in football were the Broncos, which was a surprise to everyone. Week after week the defense held teams to around 13 points a game and the Broncos flurished. Well after 4 straight loses the defense, just like the Broncos, have come back down to earth. The secondary is still a top 3 unit with Champ Bailey still doing his thing. But the Broncos have been terrible against the run and seem to get worn down by the end of the game. This is a recipe for a loss and the Broncos defense is a very big reason why they are in the midst of this 4 game losing streak. If they can not stop the run and stay energized for 4 quarters then they have a good chance to win this game.
FINAL SCORE
Giants 31 Broncos 21
Week 9 Chargers Giants Preview

I use to make this face when I was 5 and my mom wouldn't buy me any candy...It didn't work then either!
The New York Giants (5-3) are going up against the San Diego Chargers (4-3) in the Meadowlands. I honestly don’t know what to say anymore about the Giants, it hurts to think about the last 3 weeks. I can’t get over how bad the Giants looked last week against the Eagles. I mean if we are going to play like that we might as well call it a season. Well hopefully the G-men will turn it around.
MATCHUP BREAKDOWN:
As I wrote above the Giants are struggling mightily the last 3 weeks and need to turn things around pronto in order to save their season. The Chargers have been inconsistent all season, but have won their last two (given it was against the Raiders and Chargers). I never like to say that this is a must win for both teams in Week 9, but both teams cannot afford to fall any further back of their respective division leaders. As my Super Bowl prediction this year I expected a lot more then I have seen from both these teams. Both do have winning records and are capable of running off big winning streaks this season.
GIANTS RUNNING GAME vs. CHARGERS D
The one constant is the Giants running game. The defense and passing games of the Giants have each let them down at some point in the season, so why not do what you do. Run the ball, control the clock, and don’t turnover the ball. Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw are one of the elite running tandems in the league and I sure hope that the Giants go back to what they are. The Chargers running D is terrible against the run, ranking 27th in the NFL, so this is as good a time as any for Jacobs and Bradshaw to run wild over the Chargers. The outcome of the game could depend on whether or not this will happen.
Edge: Giants Running Game
GIANTS PASSING GAME vs. CHARGERS D
Eli Manning has reverted back to the inconsistent, turnover prone quarterback that makes fans pull their hair out in frustration. Will the real Eli please stand up? Eli has to manage the game, that’s when the Giants are at their best. At the beginning of the season Eli could do no wrong, but that was against some terrible defenses. In order for the Giants to snap this losing streak Eli needs to stop doing what he has been doing over the last 3 games. Considering that the Chargers passing D is very good ranking sixth against the pass. With the ball hawking cornerbacks Eli will need to stop himself from making the bad throw. Until I see otherwise, the Chargers secondary will win this battle.
Edge: Chargers D
CHARGERS RUNNING GAME vs. GIANTS D
Do you guys remember when the Chargers running attack was the best in the NFL and LaDainian Tomlinson was going to be the greatest running back of all time? Well, that was only 2 years ago, but man have things changed. The Chargers rushing attack is currently the second worst in football, with a league worst 3.1 yards per carry. It is weird just typing that. So the Giants D should be OK here because the Chargers are definitely a passing team now.
Edge: Giants D
CHARGERS PASSING GAME vs. GIANTS D
Philip Rivers has been great this year and is making a name for himself as a top flight quarterback. With no running game, the offense is on his shoulders and he has taken that responsibility and passed with it (get it “passed with it” instead of ran with it, that’s a play on words ladies and gentlemen you’re welcome). The Giants defense has been horrendous against the pass this year. The once proud defensive line of the Giants has been non-existent over the past 3 games. There has been no pressure on the QB and the secondary, especially the safeties, have been abused because of it. I don’t see that stopping this week as Rivers shows the Giants what they could have had.
Edge: Chargers Passing Game
SPECIAL TEAMS:
Jeffrey Dynamite Feagles, that is the name on his birth certificate, will be back at it against another top notch punt returner in Darren Sporles. But you guys know that Feagles breathes, eats, shits, and punts footballs. So no worries!
Edge: Giants
INTANGIBLES/COACHING:
Both teams have coaches who have been in the NFL for a long time and understand the game. Tom Coughlin has done a good job this year with a team that has underachieved in the last three games. Norv Turner is a good offensive coach; I am just not sure if he is a head coach. I understand that he wins games during the regular season, but in the playoffs he just doesn’t win the big game.
Edge: Giants
BOTTOM LINE:
Both teams will be hungry for a win and this game should be very entertaining. The Chargers do have to come east to the windy and cold Giants Stadium and most west coast teams don’t fair well when coming east. I hate to do this, but I see the Chargers and Rivers exploiting the weak Giants secondary and pulling off the win.
Final Score: Chargers 38 Giants 31
Giants Week 8 Preview: New York Giants @ Philadelphia Eagles

The New York Giants (5-2) come into this huge divisional game against the Philadelphia Eagles (4-2) in Philly. The Giants are coming off of two straight losses against the Saints and Cardinals that has left the team reeling a bit. The Eagles come into this game after defeating the lowly Washington Redskins on Monday night. The Eagles Giants game is always fierce and competitive. This should be a great game and a must win for the Giants as they look to right the ship. A very intriguing side note for this game is that the start time for this game has been moved up from 4:15pm to 1:00pm due to Game 4 of the World Series between the Yankees and Phillies in Philadelphia. Hopefully it can be a great day and night for New York with a Giants and Yankees win!
MATCHUP BREAKDOWN:
Both teams have had their ups and downs this year. The Giants reeled off five straight wins to start the year, only to lose their last two. The Eagles on the other hand have four wins sandwiched in between two loses with one of those loses coming against the Raiders who the Giants demolished 44-3 only a week before the Eagles and Raiders met. Both teams have their strengths and weaknesses and the team that can take advantage of those weaknesses will ultimately win this game.
GIANTS RUNNING GAME vs. EAGLES D
The one consistent throughout this season has been the Giants running game. Bradshaw and Jacobs have done a great job in the running game when given the opportunity. Bradshaw has gotten most of the attention so far this season with his play, but last week Jacobs ran the way everyone expects him to. He was downhill and bruising and could have had a bigger game if the Giants weren’t playing from behind. The Eagles run D has been solid as usual allowing less than 100 yards a game. The Eagles have not faced a running attack like this yet and I can see the Giants going back to what they do best to keep the Eagles explosive offense off the field; run, run, run!
Edge: Giants Running Game
GIANTS PASSING GAME vs. EAGLES D
Eli Manning had his first big interception game against the Cardinals last week throwing 3 ints, one of those to end a game tying drive. Eli will have to right himself against the Eagles D that already have 12 interceptions. Eli will have to stay away from the turnovers and play smart football. The one thing about Eli is that he loves to play against the Eagles in Philly winning his last four games there. The other key to the Giants passing attack is keeping Eli clean. The Eagles can and will blitz over and over again and it will be the job of the offensive line to keep the Eagles off of Eli’s back. Unfortunately I don’t see that happening.
Edge: Eagles D
EAGLES RUNNING GAME vs. GIANTS D
The Eagles come into this game with the possibility that their best running back, Brian Westbrook, could miss the game with a concussion. The one thing about the Eagles is they always have a good backup for this occurrence and that back up is rookie LeSean McCoy. The rookie looked very good in relieving Westbrook throughout the season and this could be the game where we finally see a full helping of McCoy. The Giants D has been pretty solid against the run since the Cowboys game and the Eagles love to abandon the run in a heartbeat. The Giants should keep the Eagles running game in check.
Edge: Giants D
EAGLES PASSING GAME vs. GIANTS D
Donovan McNabb is having another McNabb like season, miss two to three games because of injury, complain that he is not appreciated by the Philadelphia fans, and put up very good numbers. The once unstoppable force that was the Giants defensive line has been non existent since the Saints game 2 weeks ago. If the Giants D does not get pressure on McNabb he will tear them apart. What the Giants D need is a wake up call and after last week’s performance I can see Osi and Tuck getting pressure on McNabb which is the key to this game. All in all the Phillies have more weapons on the outside with the emerging star DeSean Jackson and rookie Jeremy Maclin. This will be a huge test for a banged up Giants secondary. My heart tells me to go with the big blue on this one, but I can’t go against what I have seen this season.
Edge: Eagles Passing Game
SPECIAL TEAMS:
Jesus Christ a.k.a Jeff Feagles punted like he had a Matlock episode to catch, but I will never say anything bad about this American hero. The Eagles have one of the most dangerous player’s in football, DeSean Jackson. He is a threat to take it to the house everytime the ball in punted to him, but Feagles in the master of the directional punt towards the sideline and this will stop Jackson in his tracks.
Edge: Giants
INTANGIBLES/COACHING:
This topic is very interesting. Tom Coughlin and Andy Reid are two of the best in the business. They do have very different ways of going about their business. Coughlin is hard nosed and is all about preparation and routine. Reid on the other hand seems to be more of a players coach, relying on a pass happy offense to lead his team to victory. Both coaches are among the longest tenured head coaches in the NFL for good reason. Both teams have been at the top of the NFC East for most of the decade. I got to go with the coach with the ring.
Edge: Giants
BOTTOM LINE:
This will be another classic Eagles Giants match up. Two top tier teams going at each other with the feeling of a playoff game. The winner of this game takes the head to head match up that could be the difference between a division title and either the wild card or no playoffs at all. I personally can’t wait to watch this battle of the titans on Sunday.
Final Score: Giants 24 Eagles 21
Week 6 Preview: Giants @ Saints

It must be nice to be an overrated football player
The New York Giants (5-0) will be facing the New Orleans Saints (4-0) in a battle for NFC supremacy. New Orleans comes into this game after a big win against the previously undefeated New York Jets in Week 4 and are fully rested after the bye week. The Giants are clicking on all cylinders after last week’s domination of the Raiders. This will be THE game of the week and possibly the season. Let’s see how it breaks down:
MATCHUP BREAKDOWN:
The Saints and Giants are both undefeated and both have more or less dominated every opponent that they faced this year. The Saints are the new greatest show on turf and have weapons at every key offensive position. Unlike in years past, the Saints are not just a passing team anymore. The running game is 2nd in the league in yards per game. The Giants are doing what they are suppose to do so far this season, beating up on inferior teams. The Giants have not been tested since Week 2 against the Cowboys, but with Tom Coughlin and his staff the Giants will not be lackadaisical coming into this game. This should be fun!
GIANTS RUNNING GAME vs. SAINTS D
The one thing that has been missing from the Saints over the past couple of years is a defense that can stop somebody. Well that has changed as defensive coordinator Gregg Williams installed a new 4-3 defense that revolves around a whole lot of run blitzing and forcing turnovers. The Saints D is currently ranked 7th in the league against the run at 83.3 yards per game. The Giants counter the Saints with Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw. Bradshaw has been absolutely unstoppable this season averaging about 7 yards per carry and is looking more and more consistent on a game to game basis. Jacobs on the other hand has struggled this year. His yards per carry have gone down by almost 2 yards from a gaudy 5 yards per carry last year to 3.2 this year. Also Jacobs is starting to let the talk of his downfall by the media get to him. I don’t see this as a bad thing, I expect Jacobs to make this game a statement game and return to his dominating self.
Edge: Giants Running Game
GIANTS PASSING GAME vs. SAINTS D
Eli and the passing game will have their hands full with the Saints D this week. The Saints rank 11th in the league in passing yards allowed at 212 per, but don’t let that number fool you. The Saints secondary is scary good this year. With 10 picks this year they are number one in the league. The key to this game for Eli is turnovers. Eli has been great this year at limiting the turnovers so if he can keep that up the Giants will have a good chance this week. Steve Smith is becoming one of the better wide outs in the game and seems to always be at the right place at the right time. Eli’s security blanket should have another stellar game.
Edge: Giants Passing Game
SAINTS RUNNING GAME vs. GIANTS D
The Saints come into this game with the 2nd best rushing attack in football. The Saints have a 3 headed monster of Pierre Thomas, Reggie Bush, and Mike Bell that is very similar to the Giants Earth, Wind, and Fire of last year. Pierre is the starter and has a nice combination of size and speed that defenses have trouble with. Reggie Bush is a great pass catcher out of the backfield and is their 3rd down back and Mike Bell is their bruiser back who will be active for this game after suffering a sprained knee in Week 3. The Giants defense has been very good against the run since the Cowboys game, but they have faced some pretty bad running attacks over the last 3 games. The last time the Giants faced a running attack like the Saints they gave up over 200 yards on the ground. This will definitely be a test for the Giants D.
Edge: Saints Running Game
SAINTS PASSING GAME vs. GIANTS D
Drew Brees is arguably the best quarterback in the game. The Giants D will have their hands full this week. Brees has slowed down over the last couple of games, but I don’t see this being the case this week. The Giants are still banged up in the secondary and Brees knows how to exploit that. The Saints have the 11th ranked passing attack in football, but that is mostly due to the bye week and 2 average showings against the Jets and Bills. Don’t be fooled this passing attack could be the best in the league and they will show that this week in the Superdome.
Edge: Saints Passing Game
SPECIAL TEAMS:
I don’t see the special teams for either team making much of an impact on this game as both offenses are playing at a very high level. John Carney comes back to kick against his old team the Giants, but all in all Jeff Feagles is Christ reincarnated!
Edge: Jesus Christ
INTANGIBLES/COACHING:
Sean Payton’s offense versus Bill Sheridan’s defense will be the match up to watch all day as both will try to confuse each other into mistakes. Sean Payton has made a good name for himself since his days as the Giants offensive coordinator with an offense that has been at the top or near the top of the league since his arrival to the Saints. Tom Coughlin knows how to prepare his team week in and week out against their opponent better then 99% of the coaches in the NFL. This should be a great match up between two of the best coaches in the league, but I have to give the nod to the man that has done it longer and with more success.
Edge: Giants
BOTTOM LINE:
The Giants versus the Saints will be the game to watch this week. Both teams are playing great football so far this season on both sides of the ball. I believe that this game will be more about offense then defense as the game will be up and down all. This does play well for the Saints, but the Giants defense will make a stop late in the game that will determine the winner. I got a feeling that this will not be the last time the Giants see the Saints this year, the next time could very well be in January in the NFC Championship game.
Final Score: Giants 34 Saints 31
Fantasy Football Recap: Top Performers of Week 5

Technically Miles Austin was the top fantasy performer in Week 5, but seeing as a players on the Cowboys will never be praised on ymm.com.....Roddy White gets the nod.
Miles Austin- WR/ Dallas Cowboys (Standard Fantasy Pts in Week 5: 37)
Austin had a career day on Sunday with 10 receptions for 250 yards and 2 TD’s. He caught the game winning, 60 yard touchdown in overtime to lead the Cowboys past the Chiefs by a score of 26-20. Austin set the Cowboys’ record for receiving yards in a single game, breaking Bob Hayes’ record of 246 yards that was held for nearly 43 years. Unfortunately, not too many fantasy owners got to enjoy the production that Austin provided since he was only started in about 15% of leagues. He’s sure to be a hot pick up off waivers after this performance, especially if Roy Williams can’t return to action when the Cowboys return from their bye in Week 7.
Roddy White- WR/Atlanta Falcons (Standard Fantasy Pts in Week 5: 33)
Talk about a break out performance! In the Falcons first 3 games, White was limited to no more than 53 receiving yards in any single game. On Sunday, he quadrupled that production, catching 8 passes for 210 yards and 2 scores. He scored on a 31 yard reception in the 1st quarter and a big 90 yard touchdown in the 2nd quarter. It appears that QB Matt Ryan finally found the chemistry with Roddy that had made them such an unstoppable duo last year. The Falcons take on the Bears next week on Sunday night, so we’ll have to see if that chemistry carries over.
Matt Hasselbeck- QB/Seattle Seahawks (Standard Fantasy Pts in Week 5: 35)
Hasselbeck returned from a broken rib injury and seemingly saved Seattle’s season from spiraling in the wrong direction. He showed no signs of rust, throwing for 241 yards and 4 touchdowns, but needed painkilling injections to help him deal with the pain. Seattle will only go as far as Hasselbeck will take them, so hopefully he can get through practice this week unscathed as his team prepares for a big divisional battle with the Arizona Cardinals.
Ahmad Bradshaw- RB/New York Giants (Standard Fantasy Pts in Week 5: 28)
For much of the season, Ahmad Bradshaw has looked like the Giants best RB and this Sunday was no exception. He had a huge first half, running for 82 yards on only 7 carries and catching a pass out of the backfield for another 55 yards. The Giants rested their regulars for much of the 2nd half in a blowout win vs. the Raiders, limiting what Bradshaw could’ve done, but he still finished with 11 carries for 110 yards and 2 TDs. Through 5 games this season, Bradshaw has rushed for 20 more yards than starter Brandon Jacobs (375 yards to 355 yards) on 42 less carries (58 to 100).
Michael Turner- RB/Atlanta Falcons (Standard Fantasy Pts in Week 5: 27)
Turner rushed for 97 yards on 22 carries against a 49ers team that came into the game ranked 4th in the NFL against the run. He scored on touchdown runs of 1, 3 and 7 yards. Turner sat out the entire 4th quarter in a 45-10 thrashing of the 49ers, otherwise he probably would’ve scored a 4th touchdown. It was his best fantasy output to date and could be a sign of good things to come from the 6th year pro.
Breakout Performance of the Week:
Jeremy Maclin- WR/Philadelphia Eagles (Standard Fantasy Pts in Week 5: 26)
It was Maclin’s “coming-out party” in Sunday’s 33-17 win vs. Tampa Bay. Starting in place of Kevin Curtis, Maclin recorded 6 receptions for 142 yards and 2 touchdowns. He scored on passing plays of 51 and 40 yards from Donovan McNabb, finally showing Eagles fans why he was selected 19th overall in this past year’s draft. Maclin should continue to be a deep threat for McNabb as the season rolls on, so if he’s available in your league, go get him.
GIANTS WEEK 5 PREVIEW

Freddy Krueger has taken over Al Davis' body! OHHH That's the reason the Raiders suck.
New York Giants (4-0) vs. Oakland Raiders (1-3)
CBS-1:00pm Eastern
Giants Stadium
Alright he we go, I am finding it very hard to spruce up this matchup into some must watch game because it is not. Oakland is terrible! The only good thing about this game is watching JaMarcus Russell throw the ball around like a man with no arms for 4 quarters, well as long as you are not a Raiders fan, but I believe that they are on the verge of being extinct like sperm whales and the bald eagle, so I can’t see that bothering any one.
MATCH UP BREAKDOWN:
GIANTS RUNNING GAME vs. RAIDERS D:
The Giants come into this game with the idea that the running game will be front and center. With the injury to Eli Manning and the possibility that he won’t play, I see Brandon Jacobs getting the ball 25 times as the Giants will look to use him more. The Raiders are the 26th rank rushing D in football. So the running game will go over 200 yards total for the 2nd time in 4 games.
EDGE: GIANTS RUNNING GAME
GIANTS PASSING GAME vs. RAIDERS D:
The team that gets the edge in this category all depends on Eli Manning. As you have probably heard Eli has Plantar Fasia and is a game time decision for the game. With the possibility of David Carr playing quarterback the 11th rank passing D of the Raiders could have their way with him. I don’t expect the Raiders to get to Carr often but with the all world corner Nmandi Asomugha shutting down one side of the field; Carr might force the ball which could lead to interceptions. I believe that Eli banged up, either playing or not playing, the Giants will be a running team this week.
SLIGHT EDGE: RAIDERS D
RAIDERS RUNNING GAME vs. GIANTS D
The one thing that the Raiders have is depth at the running back spot, too bad they have no clue what they are doing, or I could be talking about the two headed monster of Michael Bush and Justin Fargas carving up defenses like thanksgiving turkey. But Al Davis lost his magic 10 years ago (that’s right Al Davis, not Tom Cable, runs that show). With that being said the front seven of the Giants are healthy and ready to dominate the line of scrimmage against a very suspect offensive line of the Raiders. I don’t see many holes for Bush or Fargas….oh yeah Darren McFadden is out with a knee injury just in case anyone was wondering. Because I wasn’t
EDGE: GIANTS D
RAIDERS PASSING GAME vs. GIANTS D
This just in….JaMarcus Russell is not good! The Raiders have the worst offense in football and their passing game is the worst I have seen in years. The Giants have the best defense in football and the Giants secondary are definitely licking their chops. The 7th choice in this years draft Darrius Heyward-Bey (crazy right, I know), and Louis Murphy, another rookie out of Florida are the playmakers for this team on offense and that has not worked out at all. Russell has the worst QB rating in the NFL at 42.4 and with Russell not able to make any throws to anyone except the opposing team; the Giants will dominate them all day long.
EDGE: WHAT DO YOU THINK?
SPECIAL TEAMS:
If you read last weeks Giants preview, which I know all you did, then you are probably aware that I love Jeff Feagles like a father. But Dad (Jeff Feagles) I am sorry but the Raiders have the best punter in the NFL in Shane Lechler and considering that he is punting 47 times a game, a net average of 44.4 yards is too impressive to ignore. I also love that crazy drunk Sebastian Janikowski (Florida State baby!!!!)Unfortunately I have to give this one to…….
EDGE: JEFF FEAGLES (the man is a gentlemen and a scholar)
INTANGIBLES/COACHING:
Both coaches are hard nosed, old school coaches, who don’t take any shit from no one, but Tom Cable does it in a different way then Tom Coughlin does it. Instead of yelling at his players for being terrible every single day, Tom Cable likes to punch his secondary coach in the face. Now Tom Coughlin is a tough military man, but he doesn’t go around putting coaches in the face. I mean it’s obvious that Coughlin is the much better coach, but it really is a sign of the times in Raider Land that even their head coach is going to get arrested for assault. Al Davis ladies and gentlemen!
EDGE: GIANTS
BOTTOM LINE:
Well this is going to be another snoozer for the Giants and their fans. I don’t expect this to be very competitive at all. This is a good thing for the Giants as they can either let Eli sit this game out or play the first half and rest his foot. I can see this game being very similar to the Chiefs game last week. A couple fields goals and a touchdown for the Raiders in garbage time, but the Giants dominating the game.

Giants week 4 Preview

Larry Johnson is like summer, no class!
The Undefeated New York Giants (3-0) travel to the Kansas City Chiefs (0-3). This is the Giants third straight road game and I couldn’t think of a better place to end the road trip then in beautiful Kansas City….I have been trying to think of one good thing that has come out of Kansas City and to be honest with you I had to Google it just to find something, the one thing that I could find is that Kansas City has a large gang population and ranks 6th in the country in violent crime. So they got that going for them. Who knew that Kansas City was so gangsta, but I digress. Back to the football game:
MATCHUP BREAKDOWN:
These two teams could not be any farther apart on the NFL totem pole. The Giants are undefeated and come into the game as one of, if not, the best team in football and the Chiefs are one of, if not, the worst team in football. The one thing about the Chiefs is that they are very young and have a potential franchise quarterback and a new no nonsense head coach in Todd Haley who is a byproduct of Bill Parcells. The Giants on the other hand have all the right pieces at their most important positions and a team that can win every time out. Let’s take a look at the matchup in more detail.
GIANTS RUNNING GAME vs. CHIEFS D
No Fire No problem! Earth (Brandon Jacobs) and Wind (Ahmad Bradshaw) showed the NFL that the Giants are a running team first against the Bucs last week putting up 226 yards. This trend should continue as the Chiefs made the switch from the 4-3 to the 3-4 this season which the D is still getting accustomed to. The bottom line is the Chiefs are ranked 19th in the league against the rush. The Giants will put up similar numbers to the Bucs game last week.

GIANTS PASSING GAME vs. CHIEFS D
No Plax No Problem! The tandem of Steve Smith and Mario Manningham has made most fans forget about Plax and the fact that he is wearing lipstick and is somebody’s bitch in jail as we speak. Another pleasant surprise is Eli Manning. He is playing great football right now and is looking like this could be the year that he officially becomes one of the elite quarterback in the NFL. The Chiefs on the other hand are giving up 243 yards per game against the pass and rank 20th in the NFL in passing D. Once again I believe that this game will be very similar to the Bucs game last week and Eli, Super Mario, and Steve “I am not the one that punches my teammates in the face” Smith will have a great first half and coast the rest of the way.

CHIEFS RUNNING GAME vs. GIANTS D
Two Time Pro-Bowler and all around waste of talent Larry Johnson is the Chiefs lead back and if this was 2006, I would maybe give this one to the Chiefs. But it’s not and this is not even close. The Giants run D had its struggles against the likes of Marion Barber and Felix Jones, but the Chiefs are not the Cowboys. I don’t see the Chiefs as a whole running for over 100 yards and with the Chiefs playing from behind for most of the game the running game will be non existent.
Edge: Giants D
CHIEFS PASSING GAME vs. GIANTS D
The highly touted quarterback Matt Cassel will be facing his toughest test yet as a Chief as the Giants will have their way with a very weak offensive line. You would assume that having Cassel, a big play wide out in Dwayne Bowe, and the offensive coordinator of the high powered passing attack of the Arizona Cardinals last year, Todd Haley calling plays that the Chiefs would have a pretty good passing attack….Well this is not true in the least. The Chiefs currently rank 28th in the league in the pass with an average 164 yards per game. The Chiefs O-line is not very good and Osi, Tuck, and the rest of the D will be knocking Cassel all over the field all game long.
Edge: Giants D
SPECIAL TEAMS:
Hold the phone!!! The Chiefs might get the edge on this one. They have the 3rd best punter in football in Dustin Colquitt with a net average of 44.1 per punt. Considering how often the Chiefs punt, that is really good. The Giants will probably still be without Domenick Hixon which hurts our return game. I am feeling like a nice guy today and the edge will go to…….
Edge: Giants (Jeff Feagles son!!!!)
INTANGIBLES/COACHING:
I honestly can’t think of anything to say about this category. Tom Coughlin is a Super Bowl Champion head coach for the best team in football and Todd Haley is still shitting in his diapers. Who do you think I am going with?
Edge: Giants
BOTTOM LINE:
The bottom line is this will be a massacre! The Giants will be too much for the lonely Chiefs. I expect Eli to put up some quick scores to Super Mario and Stevie “Wonder” Smith. Earth and Wind will take over in the 2nd half and the Giants D will have LJ crying and Cassel running for his life.
Final Score: Giants 31 Chiefs 10
Straight punkin’ fools

Ahmad Bradshaw making people look foolish
TAMPA — It was hard to distinguish just what was more evident at Raymond James Stadium yesterday. Are the Giants that good? Or are the Bucs that bad?
Ultimately, both statements hold a measure of truth as evidenced by the Giants’ 24-0 dismantling of the Bucs in a game that was more one-sided than the score indicates.
While Tampa Bay’s rookie head coach Raheem Morris is left to restore the battered psyche of a team that didn’t achieve a first down until the third quarter and managed just 86 net yards, the Giants move on with a 3-0 record and renewed confidence in a resurgent running game and a defense that posted its first shutout since 2005 and first road shutout since 1983.
Wow talk about abuse, huh? Seriously we really shit all over that team. I am not going to get all pumped up over this one because Tampa Bay is a team that we should dominate, but it is always nice to go on the road and shut someone down completely. I mean Tampa Bay did not even have a first down until there were 6 minutes left in the third quarter. That’s bad. You can chalk this one up as yet another business like win for the Giants on our road to another Superbowl. Ending Matt Cassel’s brief career next weekend should be fun too.
